Clomid users???????????

Question

I am ready to lose the love of my life due to the emotional problems I've had by using this prescription. I've had bad mood swings, and bad thoughts going through my head. HAs anyone else ever had severe mood swings or emotional problems while taking clomid???

Unfortunately, mood swings and irritability are a common and normal side effect from Clomid . . . my RE referred to it as being "clomid-cidal".  I could go from laughing to tears to absolute RAGE in about 60 seconds.  If it is extreme, talk to your doctor . . . there are other fertility meds out there that might be better for you.

The best thing that you can do is be aware that you are going through this, that the medication is most likely to blame, explain it to your partner . . . he should understand and know that once you take that last pill . . . the side effects / mood swings usually go away within a few days.

I am sorry.  You are ready to loose the love of your life or you might loose the love of your life because of this.  Honestly, I have not had those symptoms that severe.  I mean, yes, irritable and moody but never to where I have had the thought of leaving my husbdand.  And hopefully your husband knows that you are on this drug that can alter things right now but if ya'll are trying to have a baby and you both know this is something you have to do at this point then the end result...a baby and the family that you guys have wanted together...then you need to figure a way to put those thoughts out of your mind.  I know it is hard but you can take control of it if you want especially if you do not want to loose the love of your life.

I'm sorry you're going through this, but side effects are normal with Clomid. The good news? It stops almost immediately once you've taken the final tablet (ie: when you wake up on day 6 you'll feel right as rain again)
