hi, i was given clomid and told to take it on my 3rd day of my next period. I have PCOS and my periods r always different. most times they r heavy and about four or five days. some days they r very heavy and only one day. but this month my period is light with only bleeding for one day( yesterday) and today spotting..... this equals two days....i am worried because with this light period this time and my dr told me to start clomid on the third day. can i go ahead and start it even if my period was so odd? what if i dont bleed at all tomorrow? this ever happened to anyone?

  1. Yup still go ahead and start on the 3rd day of your cycle rather or not your actually bleeding. I completed my first round last month and my periods are always 2-4 days so I had that same question. I'll be starting my 2 round of clomid tomorrow so I'm sending TONS of babydust both of our ways!!!!!

  2. yep, that happended to me last month too.  I took clomid cd3-7, started spotting/bleeding on CD29 and it was very light for 2 days.  So I started another round of clomid on my third cycle day.  Counting day 1 as the first day I saw any type of spotting.

i have pcos too and am now ovulating on my own...or i guess kind of on my own with clomid :)  but i am now on cd31 and no AF....hopeing for the best.  this is my 3rd cycle with clomid, 2nd cycle at 100mg.
