Question:

Close Protection Operative?

Is there a facility that is able to sponsor an unemployed ex soldier who wishes to undergo training to become a Close Protection Officer.

I have many of the qualities asked for the position and have no real commitments here in the UK at this time, so am able to work world wide on completion of training.

I do have a minor police record although it was years ago in 1993. I have already sought responces from numberous organisations who are willing to train me but not without pre-paying for the courses. Someone suggested asking on Yahoo Answers for suggestions as they had heard that certain consolates offer candidates, sponsored training, and contractual agreements on completion. Please do not see this question as a solicitation for employment, but instead as a request for information as too which consolates actually offer this facility.

  1. I know that Group4Securicor were thinking of going into that business a couple of years back but I don't know if they did or under what name it is called.. Worth calling them and other security companies. They pay to train all their staff

  2. I believe that most CPO courses are privately funded. Try your regimental association or the British Legion for information.
