Close clash predicted in Buttercup Race at Sheffield
Buttercup Race is expected to be a close contest at Sheffield on Sunday, March 18, 2012. It will be a Grade OR event of 660 metres, set to start at 13:30 GMT.
Six quality hounds will run for a cash prize worth £200. Among the participants are: Magna Sparrow, Proper Pink, Baytown Boss, Cals Runner, Derrane Jake and Cashen Shelly.
Magna Sparrow is most likely to earn the highest starting price. The black dog has been producing excellent results since the beginning of this year.
After clinching two back to back wins, he was hunting for his hat-trick on March 13. However, the situation twisted against his favour, as he finished fifth on the chart.
It was an embarrassing outcome for Magna Sparrow, who failed to spark despite being in awesome rhythm. Today’s clash looks an ideal stage for him to regain his winning momentum, but B. Draper’s trainee will have to deliver his
best to salvage his respect.
He will be tested by Baytown Boss – someone with decent track record under his belt. Out of his last five races, the black dog nabbed victory thrice. On March 12, he had every chance to complete his hat-trick, but he failed
to accomplish the feat.
L. Stephenson’s trainee was unable to make the best use of the opportunity and fell second by three lengths. Despite that defeat, he will be determined to do some damage today.
Proper Pink is also a recent winner. At the start of this month, the white and blue b***h sealed an emphatic win in a similar race at Sheffield.
After locking top slot comprehensively that day, Westmead Hawk’s son out of Proper Lu Lu failed to carry on with the good work. In her very next outing, she was below par, ending up fourth in the list.
Conclusion
According to our prediction, it will be a three way battle between Magna Sparrow, Proper Pink and Baytown Boss. All three hounds have been doing a decent job over the past few weeks.
Moreover, they have plenty of experience under their belt. The punters are likely to put most number of bets on Magna Sparrow, but nobody can take Proper Pink and Baytown Boss lightly.
