Close competition on the cards in The Gobata Championship Final Round Leg 4 Standard at Doncaster
The Gobata Championship Final Round Leg 4 Standard is scheduled to be held at Doncaster on Friday, February 24, 2012.
According to the preset program, the 483 metre long event is due to commence at 21:00 (GMT). In hunt of a purse worth of £500, six rampant hounds will step into the clash.
Following is the line-up for this high profile meeting.
Express Jazz
Young Sid
Farley Totti
Doctor Robert
Crossfield Jet
Airforce Flash
Despite not being able to demonstrate a terrific performance recently,
Express Jazz is currently the centre of attention. The black dog will start the show from the red box and that might be an advantage for him.
If we look at his recent stats, we shall find no victory but a few reasonable performances. Despite being baulked early on during his latest race, T. Soppitt’s trainee managed to seal second place on the table.
It was a good fight back and thus, one can expect him to put up an even better show on Friday night. The black dog will have to be at his best because
Young Sid, Doctor Robert and Crossfield Jet all are looking in good position to spoil his party.
After a few ordinary shows, the trainer, P. Young decided to take Young Sid out for a solo outing. The January-09 hound displayed a wonderful show in that trip, covering 400 metre distance in less than 24 seconds.
Without a doubt, Killahan Phanter’s son out of Marwood Review is struggling with his form at the moment. However, if he manages to improve his running time, he will definitely be the one to look out for.
Likewise, Doctor Robert and Crossfield Jet need some luck to do something special. The former of the two will be full of high spirits after winning his last race. The blue dog outsmarted Blackrose Boss by four lengths to
seal the top position in late January.
Crossfield Jet won his penultimate race but was below part in the previous one at Henlow. The black dog will have some chances only if he avoids crowd on the track.
Airforce Flash’s performance has been going down step by step. After clinching two successive wins, the black dog lost his rhythm, finishing fourth and second respectively in his last two races.
Final Prediction
Considering his ability to do well against any line-up, Express Jazz can be termed as favourite. However, the trio of
Young Sid, Doctor Robert and Crossfield will be a huge threat to him.
