Close contest anticipated between Droopys Romo and Rooneys Twitter at Sheffield – 500m A2 Heat Preview
Droopys Romo, and Rooneys Twitter are expected to produce a nail-biting contest at Sheffield on Monday, February, 13, 2012. The two rampant hounds will be up against each other in a 500 metre long Grade A2 heat, set to get underway at 13:58. The winner
will earn a cash prize of £102.
Including Droopys Romo, and Rooneys Twitter, six high status hounds will step into the big battle. Among the participants are Rusty Streak, Tewmax Josh, Mill Riley, and Head Iton Toby.
Greyhound racing is certainly an unpredictable sport, but following their recent good performances, Droopys Romo, Rooneys Twitter can be cited as joint favourites. The duo is likely to be given the odds of 5 to 2, each.
Droopys Romo is coming into this contest after showing a couple of good performances. Keeping his tradition of showing quick pace early on, the black dog unleashed a brilliant run in his previous two races. However, he could not give a finishing touch,
appearing as a runner up on both occasions.
Droopys Kewell’s son, out of Droopys Darlene has decent chances to thrive, but he will have to come up with a powerful ending. On January 31, he lost the competition by four lengths, despite having every chance to surpass the triumphant hound, Swift
Example.
Rooneys Twitter, and Droopys Romo are evenly matched, but the former will have a slight psychological edge, as she is stepping in with a victory under her belt. By the end of last month, the black b***h delivered a classy performance, winning the race
by a head’s margin. In her last race, she dominated the show all the way through, and no hound was able to challenge her furious speed.
Gallway Mark’s daughter, out of Dukeries Fern holds the quality of enhancing her speed as the race progresses. However, she needs to pick up an early pace this time, in order to overcome the likes of Droopys Romo.
The joint favourites are anticipated to seal top two positions, and if they manage to do so, the contest for the third position will be quite interesting. Rusty Streak and Tewmax Josh are awarded the odds of 7 to 2 each, and both hounds are likely
to fight for the third spot.
Tewmax Josh ended up second in his last race on February 3. Losing his momentum at the end moments might be a huge concern for his connections, as the black hound failed to show a strong finish in his previous heat. He is going to face a lot of fire
on the track, and a consistent show will be his only way out.
Rusty Streak is also a strong contender for a place among top 3. However, her routine of being crowded might cost her badly. The fawn b***h requires avoiding every sort of trouble to grab a notable place on the chart.
Considering his last two poor performances, it is hard to recommend Mill Riley. His foremost priority is going to be a position among the top three, but for that he will have to cross many turbulent waters.
Head Iton Toby’s chances are quite bleak. The black dog completed the order of finish in both of his previous races, and may struggle against the likes of Droopys Romo, and Rooneys Twitter.
Prediction
The real contest will be between Droopys Romo, and Rooneys Twitter. Meanwhile, Rusty Streak, and Tewmax Josh will clash for a slot in the top 3. The joint favourites are worth betting on, but it is hard to single out one clear favourite.
