Close contest predicted in Grade 1 Maker´s 46 Miles Stakes at Keeneland
Maker´s 46 Miles Stakes is due to take place at Keeneland in USA on Friday, April 13, 2012. The Grade 1 clash has attracted many powerful runners and thus, a thrilling contest is on the cards.
The punters do not have much time to pick and choose, as the party is about to commence. The 1-mile event holds a purse worth £116,129, which will be given to the ultimate champion.
Among the confirmed entries are: Doubles Partner, Pressday, Hollinger, Big Blue Kitten, Get Stormy, Turallure and Data Link.
Most of the participants are in good form these days and therefore, it is very difficult to predict anything. Let’s make a statistical analysis of the shortlisted candidates. It will be quite helpful for those interested in
staking their money today.
Doubles Partner has been producing good results since the start of his career. The five-year-old son of Rock Hard Ten, registered a convincing triumph at the start of last month.
In the Grade 3 Canadian Turf Stakes, Todd Pletcher’s trainee secured the top position by three quarters of a length. It was Doubles Partner’s first race of the season, but the dashing horse did not make any mistake right through
the race.
Get Stormy is also a fresh winner. After staying out of action for almost three months, the six-year-old horse made his comeback on February 11, when he beat Hollinger by ½ a length.
Big Blue Kitten is another dangerous contender. The four-year-old started off his career in August last year. Making a fine impression on his debut, the bay colt seized the top place in the Grade 2 National Museum Of Racing
Hall Of Fame Stakes. In his last race, he could not maintain high standards and as a result, ended up third on the table.
Although the aforementioned three runners are mighty talented, our vote goes to Turallure. The five-year-old recorded two back to back victories before missing the top slot by a nose in the Grade 1 TVG Breeders' Cup Mile in
November last year.
Since majority of the candidates is in form, a nail-biting combat is on the cards. No matter who grabs the victory, it is going to be an awe-inspiring clash. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
