Close contest predicted in Williamhill.com Greyhound Derby 4th 1/4 Final at Wimbledon
The fourth quarter-final of Williamhill.com Greyhound Derby is probably the weakest of all. Among the confirmed entries are: Droopys Jet, Blonde Snapper, Bucks Blade, Westmead Adonis, Graigues Orchard and Mark My Words.
None of the contestants is producing good results these days. So, it is going to be a tough decision for the punters. The 480 metres Flat heat is set to take place at Wimbledon on Tuesday, May 15th.
The party will be kicked off at 21:25 GMT. The triumphant hound will walk away with a cash prize worth £225. The bookmakers have given Droopys Jet the highest starting price for today’s crucial meeting.
The black dog was runner-up in his last two appearances. In the last round of the Derby, F. Black’s trainee remained slightly unlucky, as he missed the gold medal only by a short head’s distance.
If he succeeds in delivering an equally good performance tonight, he will be able to notch up the top rank quite easily.
Blonde Snapper is also a major player tonight. After his wonderful show at Romford, the black dog came to Wimbledon in order to prove his mettle in the Derby.
He started off his campaign on a winning note, sealing a comprehensive win in the opening round of the contest. However, he failed to continue his good form and as a result, finished third last time around. M. Wallis’ trainee
has a great opportunity in hand. Let’s see how he makes the best use of this mega chance.
Mark My Words was lucky to make it to the quarter-final stage. He has no chance of seizing the top place today. Charlie Lister’s Bucks Blade is an interesting candidate. The black dog has tons of abilities, but is yet to learn
of art of being consistent.
Victories seem to have dried up for Graigues Orchard. Similarly, Westmead Adonis is not in good position to cause an upset.
Droopys Jet is full of confidence following a terrific show last time around. So, he can be trusted tonight. On the other hand, Blonde Snapper and Bucks Blade will try to spring up a surprise. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
