Death may be staged for distraction purposes.

Who knows if he is embalmed? This all stinks like a fixed, rigged lie...I think he maybe alive and preparing to negotiate with the Martians for a few more years before they obliterate the earth for its war-like ways, avoiding colonization of Mars by eliminating a Amero- European military threat. Stake out his house and his Big Russ estate to find the truth....

  1. He is being buried in Buffalo tomorrow, his wake goes until 9 tonight, not much to wonder about. I am sure it is just a casket, a symbolic way to let the public say goodbye. I wouldn't be surprised if his body is already in Buffalo in preparation for the funeral tomorrow.

    Either way, I will miss him tremendously. Not often when a man of such public stature proclaims that family is the most important factor in life. Thank you for being such a good guy, Mr. Russert.

  4. No he's dead.  Why would he fake his death?  So what that he has a closed casket.  Some people don't believe in open caskets.  I personally don't.

  9. no.  my grandmother had a closed casket and she died of natural causes, it's a respect thing in a way.

  10. A body in embalmed before burial. The veins are filled with urea-formaldehyde to make sure that a dead person stays dead.

    So I highly doubt that an embalmed body will wake up in the coffin.

    Some families consider the viewing of a dead body to be barbaric or distasteful.

  25. i asked a question critical of his work, but on this case i dont blame them

    it's inevitable some slime from a scumsheet like the globe or the enquirer would snap a pic of him, and the picture would be on the internet forever - that's not how he would have wanted to be remembered.  someone at least asked, to take a pic of my grandmother and although i politily declined, i was FURIOUS that someone would even ask

    they probably had a very private viewing and farewll for immediate family only
