Question:

Closed practices to parents?

My daughter is a competitive gymnast. The coach/owner has made "closed practices" to the team parents. This means any parent/family of a team gymnast will not be allowed to watch the practices (which are usually 4 hours long/ 4 days a week) He states the parents/family must either stay outside the gym or wait in a "playroom" that is used for b-day parties. However, the parents of the recreational classes can view whenever they want. What right does he have to keep the team parents from viewing these practices, legally speaking? Please limit your responses to professional legal advice and not just your opinion. Thanks.

  1. maybe you should stop babying her and let her get better

  2. Did you sign a contract?  Was this in the contract or was this an added rule he just made up? If you didn't sign anything agreeing to this he can  not legally keep you from watching your minor child during a sports practice.
