  1. I would say Heathrow is the closest and easiest to get to. If you're in High Street Kensington, then it's a 15 minute tube ride to Paddington Station (Circle line) and then a fast train that takes another 15 minutes direct to Heathrow.

If you're in Sounth Kensington, then you can take the tube (Piccadilly line) directly to Heathrow which takes about 40 minutes.

  2. I would say the city airport but they do not do long flights mainly ones to europe, you can easily get to it from west kensington (using the district line) and south kensington underground station (using either the distric line or circle line), if you get off at tower hill then you go onto the DLR to the London City Airport station then hey-bresto you are there.

Another one will be heathrow just a little bit further to get to and again if you dont have to much luggage then you could go by the underground from south kensington on the piccadily line, there are stations for terminals 123, 4 and 5 (4 and 5 are seperate) heathrow will take you almost anywhere or visa versa ( you can get to heathrow from almost everywhere) heathrow is probably the simplist way of getting there through the tube, Look at a map of the underground and you will see what i mean.

    Good Luck

    Sam

  3. In terms of time, Gatwick, Heathrow and London City airport are all pretty similar; Luton and Stansted are all fairly reachable as well, if the flights happen to be right.

The public transport system is not well integrated in the UK: however, if you want to get into London from the airport, it's about as good as it gets.
