Question:

Closing gap in top front teeth?

I intend to have a fairly large gap in top front teeth closed with the aid of braces. My dentist has told me it will be necessary to cut some ligament to facilitate this.

Anybody out there any knowledge or experience of this: No links please.

  1. cutting ligaments around teeth facilitates its movement and reduce its relapse (returning to its previous position), its  good procedure, but may be little annoying due to ligament cut, but will resolve in few days

  3. i'd just leave it if it isnt causng pain many of the top models have a gap between their teeth and i have a small one and my boyfriend says its cute. so unless its causing pain leave it and smile!! :D

  4. I have a friend who had it done and then had braces and there is no gap and she has perfectly straight teeth now.  Go through the actual process with the dentist.  But I say DO IT.  You will be very grateful you did when you are older.

  5. I have braces, and I had something like that done. But mine was on my lower teeth. I'm still wearing my braces till now and it really does work fast, but it hurts like h**l for the first week. Have fun with that! :D
