I am going to close my pool myself this year. When I lower the water below the outlet jets, Can I use the water on my yard? Or will the chemicals hurt it? Really do not want to put it in the sewer.

  1. Are you going to use the pool pump to drain the pool?  Do you have skimmers?  If so, you may want to plug the skimmers when the water gets below their level.  Otherwise you'll be sucking air into the system and the pump may cavitate or even lose it's prime.

  2. the guys above are right..just wait a few days the sun will burn the chlorine out if you stop adding it.....lots of cities put chlorine into tap water anyway

  3. Go ahead let the water rip. I have had an inground pool for 5 years and have flooded my yard every closing. I am also a lawn care company owner. The water will not hurt your grass.

  4. dont use the filter or chemicals for a couple of days let the water turn green, now the water is full of algee, best thing in the world for grass

  5. i own a pool company let the sun get all the chemicals out and algea start growing then let it rip

  6. Yes It will definitely destroy your garden. Dont do it.
