I have AT&T Yahoo! and now, a problem cme up. I don't know why. Everytime I close a window, even if it's a whole separate windo and I have 5 windows open, all of them close with it. It never happened before. Now when I check my mail, and I click a link to Yahoo! Answers, it opens a new window, but when I exit that window only, all the other ones follow it. How do I stop it? What do I need to do?

  1. Have you recently switched to IE7? If you open new windows as Tabs, then press the X in the upper right hand corner, it will close all tabs. The default operation in IE7 is to ask you if you want to close all tabs, but there is a check box on the "close all tabs?" window that stops it from being displayed in the future.

(you did, so here is an addendum to my original answer)

You mentioned "master account", so I am assuming you are on a machine with multiple users. I am also you are using Internet Explorer (IE).

    Two ideas:

    1. Have one of the other users try to duplicate the same operation, then have the system administrator try it. Then have the sysadmin check into the way IE is configured.

    2. If AT&T Yahoo customizes the browser, check with AT&T's help desk.

    Good luck!
