  1. Better to be prepared than not.

My son was only 7 pounds at birth.  At 6 months old he's 25 pounds and in 18mo and 2T clothes....  We've gone through all the sizes up to this point and he's just so tall!

Good for you for thinking ahead!  Just make sure you don't buy summer clothes just because he'll be 24 months old in summer time... .it may or may not work out that way.  Buy a bunch of stuff and whatever you don't use you can sell, give away or use for a different child.

  2. It's great to do that. I only buy my kids clothes twice a year at the Next Sale. I save for two months before it starts and go early and grab loads for them. I used to spend £100 twice a year for my son and the clothes were worth £250- £300 but now I have my little girl, in summer I spent £200 but it should have come to £500. I never buy any other clothes all year through and my MIL always buy socks, undies and PJ's. I even have their holiday clothes for October 2009. The babies cost £9.00 for the whole holiday including swimwear. And you can treat yourself with the money you've saved!

  3. its a good idea, i dont do it though. my daughter is 12mos, and i was clearing out all the stuff that is too small now. i picked up a few things that i loved at the time, then i thought, what was i thinking?! i go off things so quickly. she is in 12-18mos now, ive just bought her a lot of 18-24 winter stuff and even that was a real struggle for me!

  4. Good Thinking!!

I did this with my daughter when I was still pregnant with her. It is always a good idea to keep bigger clothes aside because you never know when they will be able to wear them. Even though the clothes say its 6-9 months, your baby might be able to wear them when he is only 4 months.

My daughter is 15 months old right now, and depending on brands and material, she can wear a size 4T!

    So seriously....good thinking =]

  5. Get em while the gettin is good!

  6. thats good thinking, i have done this woth my little onw. I can't walk past a friggin good bargain and you never know what situation may arise when your child gets to that size, you may not have the means to buy any clothes or they might not have any sales on.

It is good to be prepared!

  7. I have had some clothes very far ahead of time, yes...but I try to be careful because you never know at what rate your child will grow. So if you live somewhere with huge variations in weather during different seasons, then it could really s***w you in the end if your child ends up being a size 24 months in the middle of a freezing winter, but all your 24 month stuff is shorts or summery. A lot of clothes could get wasted that way...but then again, they were cheap so it may not matter that much to you.

What my daughter hasn't worn or won't wear, I can pass down to my younger daughter and hopefully she will get use out of it... lol

  8. That sale at kmart was awesome..I definently snatched up tons of things for my little one too! Mostly got her 0-3 and 12mths stuff I got 23 outfits and didnt pay over 5 dollars for one thing and mostly 1.20 for everything!! I have tubs for every 3-6, 6-9, 12, 18 and 24 mths!! Everything I have bought her has been on sale or clearance!!! Its always good to buy in advance..learned that one form my aunt!!!
