Clothes line in a condo?

I live in a condo. I want to start drying my clothes on a clothes line. I live upstairs. Could I buy one of those clothes lines that you hook to the side of the house and attach it to a tree? Has anyone ever used this before?

  1. I agree with the others...you probably won't be able to do this.  What I did was buy a clothes rack - usually for adding hanging space in small rooms - and hang my clothes on that inside the house.  Plus, get a drying rack for tshirts, towels, and such.  Just these 2 items will dry a full load of laundry for me, and together they cost me under $20.

    Hope this helps!!

  2. You won't be able to do this.  I would bet your association would prohibit it.  Get a drying rack for inside.

  3. I'm betting there might be something in your purchase agreement that prohibits that.  Most condo's don't allow you to hang things from your balcony like that.  I'd check with your homeowner's association or the restrictions on your deed before I did it.
