Clothing Style Hatred?

Question

hey! I thought maybe someone out there could help me wit a problem i have. Some of my friends are hatin on me, cuz i don't wear preppy "white boy" clothes (i.e. A&F, Hollister, Billabong, Aeropostale, etc.) I tend to wear more "Urban" clothes, like southpole, ecko unlimited, long baggy pants, etc. I just don't like to wear tight shirts and tight pants. They keep buggin, cuz i won't get clothes that are like theirs. I am getting tired of them, cuz one of em says, that i get my long shirt, baggy clothes style from rappers. where does white clothes styles come from? and do you think that i should change my style of clothes? Whomever answers this, thank you for your advice!

Man, I so know how you feel. When I was in 7th grade , I used to hang out with white/preppy people and they used to hate me too.........and tried to change me into one of them. But in 8th grade I strated hangin with people who dressed like me and they were actually very nice to me and they took me in and now i dress how I want to. s***w your friends. If they dont want to be with you because of your style, then they are not your real friends.

ahhh no dress how ever the **** you want.... if there being ur friends only cause of the clothes u wear or by how u look then thats just stupid immature ****... they need to grow up

I absolutely HATE IT when people make clothes a racial issue!

I'm half black and I don't walk around looking all "bootylicious" in Southpole outfits! I wear stuff from wetseal, Kohls, and Forever21

Tell your friends to shut up.

And to you: there's no such thing as a "white style". Not ONLY white people want/can dress like that

And don't change the way you dress for anyone. If you like it, flaunt it!

Dude dress your own style s***w your friends cuz they want u todress "preppy" i personally dont like that look and tend to be more on the side of yours but dont let your friends choose wat you wear

I'm a white girl, and I like the urban style on guys. Well. With skinny jeans. Skinny jeans and Jordans... Oh God.

First of all sweetie...Be proud of yourself...You are an individual! One of the bravest things you will ever do is be yourself. Your friends are probably just jealous they dont have the courage to be different. If you like what you're wearing..dont worry about what anyone has to say..they are not buying your clothes so who the h**l cares what the say???? You got your own style and its cool you dont want to look like a cookie cutter Hollister boy...Thank Goodness! Just shake the haters off and keep rockin your hot Ecko jeans.....Doing anything else would not be true to who you are
