Question:

Clothing options when transitioning during a triathalon?

i've been cycling for about 4 years and i'm a pretty decent swimmer. recently a friend of mine convinced me to do a triathalon after years of me telling her that i won't run.

i am large chested so when i exercise i wear a couple of supportive layers. if someone else has similar issues, how do you transition from swimming to biking. do you swim with your sports bra, do you put on a sports bra over your swimsuit for the 2nd 2 events?

i cannot run in my bathing suit b.c it is not supportive enough (and no, buying a more supportive bathing suit is not the answer, b/c they don't exist, trust me i've looked).

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for your help.

  1. I totally feel your pain!  Why do they assume all large chested women are wide as well.  I believe shock absorber makes something that you could run/swim in...

I (32DD) run marathons and finally after 4 years found something to run in, I can't imagine trying to find something for triathlons, I'd probably wear my Nike zip fron bra as is to swim in with some compression shorts.  Find a bra that gives you the support and can look like a crop top and wear that.

    Good luck.
