Clothing???

Question

I am not trying to be stupid, but i am in 7th grade going up to 8th grade. and im wondering what people in public school wear?

I'v only been to private schools my whole life but i am moving to a public school and so im wondering?

Many schools today require uniforms and the ones that don't will generally provide you with a dress code to follow. If there is no dress code, I'd just suggest you dress comfortably; jeans and t-shirts, etc.

Just follow your school's dress code if they have one and wear the things that make you feel comfortable (physically and otherwise) and good about yourself. As far as dress codes go around here at least, you're usually required to have on jeans, pants, skirts, kapris, or shorts that go down to AT LEAST your knee. In my middle school, boys could wear long panats or jeans or knee length shorts, but girls couldn't wear shorts. Only kapris (those pants that go down to mid shin) or long skirts or jeans, but a lot of schools are a bit less strict, especially in hot locations (I live in Fl, so a lot of parents complained about their kids who walk home having to wear long pants on August). As for shirts, usually any kind of bouse or t-shirt is fine as long as it doesn't have spaghetti straps, didn't show your belly button, and didn't have any profanity on it. Shoes usually have to be closed toe (like sneakers), but some schools allow sandals as long as they have a back and your feet aren't flipping in and out (like flip flops).

Just wear what you feel comfortable in. Wear things that you like anad feel good about, and maybe express yourself... like wearing your favorite color sometimes, or a shirt that you got somewhere special. Don't worry about what other kids wear. BE YOURSELF and THINK FOR YOURSELF.

Whatever you do don't wear a uniform...or anything sleeveless, or a mini skirt, probably not short shorts, and a lot of schools don't allow hats...

We live in rural area - so we're hicks - um most the kids just wear jeans and whatever kinds of "junior" shirts you see in the popular stores like Limited, Debs, JC Penneys, Kaufmans, whatever.....you're always safe with jeans and a t-shirt though no matter where you go...

A lot of kids are comfortable developing their own individual style..hmm maybe not so much in 7th and 8th grade..

I'd go to a mall and see what's inside the junior section of the major stores...and look at what teens are wearing...

you don't have a uniform? im from Australia and and all skools have uniforms here.

okay if its casual clothes just wear some black tight pants/jeans/trakies anything comfortable. t-shirts and all that are good and adidas jackets. umm i think u should wright this same question but make it more clear.
