Cloudracer favourite for Irish Stallion Farms Eurpean Breeders Fund (Fillies) Race
Only five runners have been attracted towards the Irish Stallion Farms Eurpean Breeders Fund (Fillies) Race at Ballinrobe in Ireland on Monday, May 28, 2012. A cash prize of €11,040 has been set for the winner.
The going will be good in the 1 mile 1 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 18:30 GMT. Following runners will be seen in action today: Mojita, Giving Orders, Zelos Dream, Cloudracer and Choisilady.
There are a few experienced runners taking part in the race, but Cloudracer seems to have the best chances of victory. She is in very good form at the moment, thus the punters will be interested in placing a lot of bets on her.
The three-year-old filly has taken part in just a couple of events until now and managed to win one of them. She was under some pressure on her debut and failed to make a solid impression that time around, finishing seventh overall.
However, the D. K. Weld’s trainee improved her performance afterwards and won the next race comprehensively by seven lengths. She started of decently back then and pressed hard in the middle section. This allowed her to create a huge gap over her rivals
and she easily managed to take the top spot.
A similar run would definitely ensure another victory for Cloudracer in the race. She will be partnered by P. J. Smullen, who is not in good form at the moment, but has the skills to make a comeback.
Although current form is important, there is no match for experience. This is why the punters might be encouraged to risk some money in favour of Mojita, who is well aware of pressure situations.
The four-year-old filly has entered 15 events until now, winning one of them and finishing runner up on five times. In addition to that, she has also secured the third spot on a couple of times, which shows that she is fully capable of fighting at the front.
The K. J. Condon’s trainee was unable to shine in her previous race, as she finished sixth in it. She will be partnered by Shane Foley today. The young jockey is in good form and will be looking forward to an impressive run today.
