Cloverfield - Blu-ray in Ontario?

I loved the Cloverfield movie, and have been waiting for it to come out in stores. I checked the futureshop.ca site, but they only sell two different disks. The DVD copy, and another DVD copy with a steel case... Is Cloverfield going to be coming out in blu-ray? Or am I just better to buy the DVD...?

The blu-ray version is not announced yet.

Currently, there is no release date or release planed for cloverfield on blu-ray. Unfortunate really, it's such a good movie. You're better off buying it on DVD. If they do announce it, even then it wouldn't be for another 2-3 months before it's released. So you're looking at atleaset 2-3 months...and that's if it were announced today...buy the dvd....use your blu-ray player to upconvert....and well, that's the best you can do right now :(
