Question:

Clown loach isn't eating ?

i have got 3 clownloach , they have been in my tank for about 3 weeks now, two of them are really active and eat very well but one of them just wont eat and is looking very skinny now , is there anything i can do ?

  1. Firstly how big is the tank because they do get fairly big and it could just be natures way of saying there is not enough room for all three so one might have to go,

    are you putting sinking food in as they are easily scared and he might not want to go to the top of the water to get flake food or the other reason might be is that not enough  food is falling to the bottom for the loachs to eat.

If you have access to frozen or lie food that might spark his interest.  Many chain stores now have a small freezer near the fish department where you can pick up frozen brine shrimp.  Take out a cube or two (depending on how large your tank and how many fish you have) and let them thaw out - then about 15-20 min later- drop then in the tank.  most fish will LOVE brine shrimp.  Even better, if you can fine live brine - but that's often a little more difficult to come across.

    If he still isn't eating, he may have an internal parasite of some type.

    I hope he starts eating.
