i have one clown loach in my 200litre tank(and stop saying the tanks to small coz its only 5-6cms long) and i bought another 2 more earlier on 2day. One looks fine but the other one looks a bit skinny(but mind you its very small) im wondering is this normal for small loaches and will it fatten out in time with regular feeding or is something wrong?

some advice would be great!

  1. STOP CHANGING YOUR TANK'S SIZE INFORMATION.

First you have a 60 liter tank, then you say you're buying a 180 liter next year. Where did this 200 liter come from?

Plus your tank is too small for Clown Loaches. They grow up to 30 cm long, and require a 473 liter tank for 3 of them.

  2. I have 6 clown loaches in size varying from 1" to almost 6". My smallest clown loach is skinnier than the larger ones and he has been that way since I bought him. I have had him for several months and he eats well and is doing great. Keep an eye on yours and make sure that he is eating. Also, make sure that he doesn't look 'sunken in', as that can be wasting away, which I have heard clowns are prone to. If he's not eating or has any other signs of disease, I would take him back, since you just got him. If everything else is ok, he should be fine.
