Cloyne Corelli confident about the Grade A2 480 metres flat race
Gathered for the Grade A2 480 metres flat race at Perry Barr are, Manchester Flyer, Myleen Gladiator, Slaming Sam, Cloyne Corelli, Parchments Crash and Psychotic Silver. The race is scheduled for Tuesday, 20th November and has all those candidates
in the line-up for whom racing at tonight’s level is nothing new.
The prize money decided for the race is £67.
The most heartwarming and promising entry for the race is the two-year-old blue dog, Cloyne Corelli. He is backed by 5 to 2 odds and has drawn the trap that is not really very popular. Racing out of the fourth gate makes the entry vulnerable to the crowding
and bumping incidents. The only way to avoid them is to set into a speed that draws one clear of the competition right when the race starts.
He has been racing since the past season, but has not been able to accumulate as much experience as usually and highly likely is possible. Three outings out of the last five attempts turned into success for the N. Slowley trained.
The blue dog came clean on the 480 metres distance of the Grade A5 480 metres race on 9th October, 2012 at Perry Barr in 29.42 seconds.
He broke from the third trap and was smart to pick up the pace soon. His stance of staying on with the lead saved him the baulking incident that came in when he was racing in the second position.
He was done with the race in 29.42 seconds and defeated Flaming Charlie by a length.
Droopys Corelli’s son then managed the first position in the Grade A4 Thank You For The Day Stakes on 27th October, 2012 at Perry Barr over 480 metres.
Taking off from the identical trap as before, setting into a quick pace, taking the rail from the middle and reeling right in got him on the other end in 29.02 seconds.
The two-year-old then nailed the Grade A3 480 metres flat race on 13th November, 2012 at Perry Barr by using pretty much the same tactic. It took him 28.92 seconds to complete the track distance.
