The second half of the pre-season friendly between Manchester City and Club America kicked off in fine fashion as Manchester City made a host of changes at the half time break. Yaya Toure, James Milner, Adam Johnson, Derek Boyata
and Kolarov all came on for City as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 opted to use most of his substitutes at the half time break. Manchester City resumed the second half with a two goal advantage over Club America as Mancini’s men looked to add more to their lead in the second
period.
In the 49th minute, Taylor the new Manchester City goalkeeper who was introduced in the half time break was forced into his first save of the match as he tipped away a header following an emphatic Club America attack.
City were caught by surprise at Club America’s offensive approach in the second half as in the 53rd minute, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Marquez played in Vuoso but the striker’s effort sailed wide of the mark as he failed to hit the target with his eventual finish.
In the 59th minute, Adam Johnson tried to open his account for City in the pre-season as he received a raking pass from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/James-Milner-c17706. However the Englishman’s ambitious chip sailed over the cross bar rather than ending
up inside the Club America goal as the score line remained at two nil in favour of the away side. In the 66th minute, Club America pushed forward on a counter attack but their attack was halted when Taylor came out of his six yard box to claim a
cross from the right wing.
In the 70th minute, Issac Acuna almost got a goal back for Club America as he found himself in space inside the Manchester City penalty area. However the striker’s finished lacked the necessary finesse as it sailed out

Johnson and Toure combined in the 72nd minute to build up another offensive move for Manchester City. This time Toure tired his luck on goal but Club America’s goalkeeper Hugo Gonzalez rushed out to claim the ball at
his feet. In the 90th minute, Manchester City almost got their third goal of the match as Weiss struck the goalpost with his thunderous effort. However the ball hit the goalpost and went out of play. Shortly after, the match came to an end with
a win for Manchester City as the final score lay at 2-0 in favour of the away team.
