Club Brugge sign Barcelona midfielder Victor Vazquez; Sunderland to move for Kevin Gameiro
Vazquez signs for Club Brugge
Belgian outfit, Club Brugge, have signed Barcelona midfielder, Victor Vazquez, on a free transfer.
Despite showing so much promise in the early part of his career, Vazquez could not make a breakthrough in the Barcelona first team. The midfielder attracted interest from several top clubs including Arsenal, Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863. However, the Spanish
instead opted to join the Belgian side.
Brugge have had a dismal 2010/11 season and are definitely looking to strengthen their squad to challenge for trophies next season. The Chairman of the club is confident that their new signing will provide strength to the squad and he will be a big hit in
the future.
"We have seen him live in action more than once with our new scouting team. He is obviously a player who will strengthen our first team, even though he will possibly need some time to adapt to the Belgian league.”
Due to the transfer window rules, the player will complete his move to the new club in the summer.
Steve Bruce keen to sign Kevin Gameiro
Sunderland manager, Steve Bruce, is keen to sign Lorient striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Gameiro-c20721, at the end of the 2010/11 season.
The French striker has been in phenomenal form for the Ligue 1 side this season and has scored 21 goals in all competitions so far.

Sunderland are expected to be rivalled by Newcastle United, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and Tottenham for the player’s signature. Lorient have slapped a 12 million-pound price tag on the player and the suitors might be involved in a tug of war.
