Club Med or Sandals Resorts?

Question

Looking to get married and honeymoon at either Club Med (Sandpiper, FL) or Sandals (Bahamas). Club Med seems easier since it's in the US...but Sandals seems more intimate. Anyone been to either? What are your thoughts?

i have been to both!! and sandals is so much better...if i were you that is what i would do! go to sandals

My hubby and I stayed at Sandals 7/2006 for 8 days and 7nights.  They upgraded our room to a villa, the bar in the room was well stocked, the room was nice like a medium size apartment, and we had a nice patio.  The resort was really nice until some type of sewage leak happened across the street and smelled up the entirer area.  Then the villa next to us had a bad toilet backup and we heard the plumbers banging all night.  We were told by the workers at the post office across the street that the sewage odor happens every so often.  The smell was horrible for about 2 days. If I had to rate the Resort plus the entire experience in Nassua Bahamas, I would give it 6 out of 10.  The food was great, and they had a good organized daily entertainment plan.  I did like Bahamas Sandals better than the Ritz Carlton in Montego Bay Jamaica, and there was no oder there, just continous begging for tips on the Island, even by security at the Airport.
