Football Club Transfers: Angel Di Maria to join the Squad of the Spanish Giants, Real Madrid, after the World Cup
The Spanish club, Real Madrid, is known for its history of signing the ‘Best Talent’. Recently, they changed their manager to Jose Mourinho, who was managing Inter Milan (the winning club of the Champion’s League this year). As soon as Mourinho took on the position of manager, he began looking forward to signing the best talent he could find. He already has many renowned players in his team include Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese captain and Ricardo Kaka, the Brazilian number 10.
Mourinho has been interested in the Argentinean star, Angel Di Maria for a very long time indeed. He was a star at Benifica and is an amazing young talented player who would be ready to get right on track right after he joins the Spanish Club. Di Maria is capable of playing as a winger while he can also take on the role of a striker, just as he is currently doing in the FIFA World Cup. He can shoot the ball and attack perfectly and is going to strengthen the Real Madrid squad to quite an extent. Angel Di Maria was linked with Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid, but finally the 22 year old was taken by the Spanish Club, Real Madrid, after a €25 million deal was struck.
Real Madrid’s rivals, Barcelona, do not have much to look forward to in the market as they have already bought the Spanish super star of the FIFA World Cup, David Villa. Villa is really proving himself in the World Cup by scoring almost all the goals that have been scored by the Spanish side. Every goal that Spain has scored, for now, came off the foot of a Barcelona player. Namely, Iniesta and David Villa, who are trying their best to make their country proud. The Catalan giants are even trying to make a move with Arsenal. Cesc Fabregas is continuously pouring pressure on the English side to make sure he is a part of Barcelona, in the following season.
Jose Mourinho is also interested in the Chelsea midfielder, Frank Lampard along with the Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, which is quite surprising considering they proved nothing during their time in the FIFA World Cup 2010. Mourinho is also interested in buying Maicon, the Inter Milan right back and Diego Milito, the Inter Milan and Argentinean striker although, these are just reported to be rumors.
Angel Di Maria marks the first signing of Real Madrid this summer, and they are planning on keeping it going. Let’s see what other talent they would take on to create the best team in the world. It cannot be said for sure whether this signing is going to have a positive or negative influence on the Spanish giants, as they already have a lineup of great players who just do not get enough time on the pitch.
