  1. club is definitely better!

you'll be ahead of your teammates.

at least thats how it is for me.

well if you play for a good club lol.

    [=

  2. actually both are pretty much the same just club last longer

  3. in club you get so much better competition. even if your are playing for a small club. plus its a twice as better experiance.  it depends if you are playing on the varsity level what division you are i guess. because all the d1&2's have all those religion schools that can do w/e they want!!!!  so i think that club may be harder unless you play d1 or a d2 school. do you know what i mean?

what club do you play for?

    what state?

    sounds awesome.!

  4. they are pretty much the same.  Club lasts longer though, but in varsity you play more games

  5. Like the people before me said, it depends on how good your club and school are. However, I can give you a general idea..

Playing on varsity will probably be about the same, or maybe a little more competitive. A lot of varsity teams will have 18's club players, but will also have weaker players.

So, you can expect most varsity teams to be less consistent skill-wise, but they will also have some better players than you are used to playing in club.

School- Some bad to ok players, some outstanding players.

Club 17's- Even skill level on team, not quite as good top players due to age.

  6. It all depends on the club. Many clubs exist just to get girls more experience in the high school off-season. Clubs like this tend to care more about equal playing time and fun over winning every game.

There are more clubs that exist solely to make money and names for themselves. These clubs tend to sit kids that do not practice well and care more about winning, then all kids playing.

High School Varsity is more about winning as many games as possible, If you are second or third string on Varsity, you may not see any playing time. JV is more about experience and more of a club atmosphere.

If you are on an aggresive club and you play 17s then you should do just fine. If you play for a "fun" club, you should expect to have a learning curve.

The best thing for you to do would be to approach it with a can do attitude, do your best and don't expect anything. Please do not go to tryouts with a "This is so easy, I'm the best player here" attitude. If you do, you'll find yourself all alone.

  7. they are about the same. Varisty has more pressure because you want to win and go to state and represent your school. For club, if you are on a select team ans play way harder teams well then its tougher than regular season play.I guess it all depends on how good you club and varsity teams are compared to each other.

  8. it toally depends on what bracket ur in for club and how good ur varsity team is. but from what i can say for my club and varsity team is that im a freshman and made varsity and i play club volleyball and its about the same level of play so thats probably the same for a lot of other schools so its about the same

  9. The level of play is pretty much the same the only thing I would say is there is a LOT more pressure for a varsity team. You're not really playing for yourself anymore you're playing for your teammates and your school. There is more pressure but it is so much more of a thrill in my eyes. You become so close to your teammates. I just found doing club it's a much different experience team wise and pressure wise. I feel more at ease definitely with club so if you get nervous easily I would consider that factor when deciding. It also depends on the level of play for both but it sounds like they should be around the same. Just consider the emotional aspect of it and you'll be able to decide. Good luck! :)
