  1. maybe depends on how old you are and how good your club is.

  2. Just parctice every day.  Good for you for doing the clinic and summer league that defently helps.   I would do 1 more clinic just to get more exprience. Last year I had never played volleyball in my life so I wanted to play on my jr. high team so a went to a clinic.  After that I practiced at least 10 min. every day.  After the school season (which really went well) I kept practicing every day.  I wen to open gyms w/ my friends.  I tryed out for club volleyball.  There was 10 openings in the b team and 10 openings in the a team.  There were at least 35 girls trying out for my age group.  I made the a team!!  So practice helps a ton do it every day!!

Hope this helped you and good luck remember to hussle and communicate!!

    Keep playin,

    Live the volleyball gal

  3. You should try and  get maybe a private trainer, and get in really good shape, so even if you aren't the best  they will recruit you because they think they can model you into the player they want you to be. The clinic and league are good, once they are over, thought keep up with it somehow. Maybe try the school team. You do have a chance but try for other teams, not just one. Good luck!

  4. It really depends on what age division, your club standards and how much experience you have.

would you  mind adding on what you have as a base? and what position you want to try for?

however, no matter the variety for the answers, you should always start with some training: attend some volleyball camps in the summer, they give you good playing time experience and works on your skills! :D

Also, some conditioning tips I'll have for you:

SKIPPING: single jumps, both legs-- 100 jumps, take a rest, then single jumps, single leg 50 jumps each leg

CARDIO: work on some endurance every 2 -3 times a week, run, swim, bike...etc.

STRENGTH: do push ups, crunches (hold 2 secs), stretches

***most importantly is to play around with a volleyball, against a wall, " pepper" with a buddy or play some beach, grass and indoor over the summer

keep up the good work and you'll most likely make the team :D GOOD LUCK! ♥♥♥

  5. make sure you are in the best physical condition for tryouts. also do a lot of ball control against a wall or with a friend just to get decent ball control again. Also, don't be afraid to "make friends with the floor". If you go all out, there is a very good chance you will make at least one of the teams.
