  1. Club is a lot harder to make and you learn more than school. It is very competitive. You only practice two or three days a week because they don't want to burn you out since you will probably play one if not two days over the weekend, which can be up to 8 or 9 matches a weekend.

  2. Club volleyball is better because you play against the best from across the country and its way more competitive. So what if I only practice like twice a week, I'm going to give it my all. My practices were 3 hours long and i worked my butt off every one of those practices. So yea i think that club is way better than school volleyball

  3. Depends on who you have as a coach and where you are playing high school volleyball. Certainly club can be more competitive as players are paying to be on a team once they are chosen. So those who are not really serious tend to stay away. Then there are the club tournaments which others mentioned can be one day on the weekend all the way up to a three day national qualifier. Typically a club team will play about as many or more matches in a club season as a high school does in their season. I coach both and last season my high school team played in 33 matches. Currently my club team has played in 50 matches. One of the other reasons for only a few practices a week is not only how often a club team plays but also the fact that many girls are in their school's off-season. So they are weight training and running and so on at school. Add in homework and family time and it equals out to a few times a week.

There's no doubt you will get better playing club because if for no other reason you are practicing more, touching a ball more and playing competitively while those not playing are not doing anything.

  4. In club it's a lot more competitive.  you also play a lot more tournaments.  im on a club team and we usually played a tournament about every weekend for most of the season. in a tournament you get about the same number of matches that you do for like half of the school season, so you play alot more games, and games are one of the main things that make you better. practice is for technique and specifics, games teach you how to play.

  5. if you play club volleyball its usualy probab;ly better but more expensive, becuase club players are super goodd  there meant for players who come there to be serious and not to joke around people who wan to become succesful in life.

  6. Club volleyball is a lot better than school. You only practice twice a week because practices are usually more intense, you will most likely be playing in tournaments on the weekends (which are very long), and because girls come from different areas. A few of the girls on my club team had an hour-long ride to practice. Clubs team players are usually more dedicated and serious then high-school players. And besides, high school volleyball practices are usually boring and very repetitive. Also, its after like 8 hours of school so everyone is not that into it...

  7. i play club volleyball and it helps because your practices are going to be more intense because you are working with people who want to be there. practice everyday after school is probably going to end up being the same thing over and over but practicing two or three times a week shows who is really dedicated and wants to be there because they will work outside of practice time. club volleyball also is an option and you have to pay to be in it so... when you are put on a team most teams will not be as big as your school team might be where you had to try out whereas at clubs you don't.

I hope this helped answer your question.
