Clubs and bars for students in newcastle and edinburgh?

me and my friends are going to newcastle at the weekend, what are the best clubs and bars to go to? We're in Edinburgh the weekend after too, any recommendations for there?

Depends what you into really!

Head Of Steam is good for bands & The Forth is a wicked bar (near the train station)  World headquaters is a good club.

Then you've got the big market with loads of sick pubs & 'the gate' which is an indoor complex full of bars

Loads of bars down the quayside too, lloyds has a good beer garden next to river & cooperage an old fashioned pub which plays good tunes. If the sun is shining quayside maybe good

The cluny music venue is worth visiting, but is about 1mile out of city centre.
