Announced as a free agent after the end of Euro 2012, France national team boss Lauren Blanc might not remain jobless for long with reports suggesting that many clubs are lining up for the former Manchester United player
Since his appointment, Laurent Blanc has revolutionised the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 national team. A team that faced an early exit from the 2010 World Cup, seemed lost but Laurent Blanc’s appointment changed things drastically for Les Bleus.
France won their European qualifying group and Stade de France has become a fortress under the former Bordeaux man’s watchful eye. However, despite all this, the France Football Federation does not want to extend Blanc’s contract.
So much is the federation’s keenness to let go of Blanc, that even if France do somehow manage to win the European Championships, his contract will not renew.
However, the French tactician needs not to worry about being jobless after the summer. Reports in Journal http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Du-c11689 Dimanche claim that many top European sides are looking at Blanc’s profile and are impressed with how he has fared.
During his time as Bordeaux coach, Blanc guided Les Girondins to a Championelle. Furthermore, Blanc’s ability to develop team spirit has impressed Italian Serie A side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan.
Currently, the 2010 Champions League winners have Claudio Ranieri as their manager. However, the San Siro club’s management does not see the former AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 man Laurent Blanc
as a possible replacement to the Tinker Man.
Blanc played for Inter Milan from 1999 to 2001 and still maintains a good reputation at the Lombardy club.
With France federation looking to replace Blanc, his assistant Alain Boghossian has urged the FFF not to hang things.
“You have to solve the matter quickly. Every year there is this problem: coaches are requested by clubs. We’ll have to give an answer and not wait for what happens in Euro. There are several clubs who would like to have Laurent Blanc as their coach,” said
a frustrated Boghossian.
France’s decision to bid farewell to Blanc could prove a hasty decision and a grave mistake for that matter.
