Clumping mascara?? [tips please]

im attempting to do my mascara and i just cant seem to get it rite.. it always clumps up and looks totally fake and gross.

if it helps im using this Avon one. its like a volumiser or something idk

so if you have any tips or anything please let me know

Run the tube under hot water before using--it thins the mascara out.

I would try a different mascara.  It may be old too.  Try Mary Kay's Ultimate Mascara!  It's goes on smooth and totally lengthens your lashes.  I LOVE it!!

Plunge the brush and make an initial sweep across the left lashes.  Repeat for the right, but before dipping the brush again, go back to the left and comb it out, then the right.  Giving it that second to dry makes all the difference in the world.

here are some tips

1-  First, apply one coat of lengthening mascara; it's a thinner formula than the volumizing kind, so you won't get a lumpy start. Separate your eyelashes with a metal-toothed lash comb afterward.

2-  For your second coat, put on a volumizing mascara. Get really close to your lash bed, wiggling the wand right in there to avoid depositing too much gunk on the ultrafine ends. It also helps if you sweep the brush from side to side as you move your hand upward.

3-  Dried-up color always looks clmupy. Buy a new tube at least every 2 months.

get Clinque mascara. it's a fairly expensive brand, but it is an awesome brand! you can get it at any local drug store or the mall.  hope i helped! =) <33

Ok when you put it up to your lash line give it a little wiggle then pull. that should stop it from clumping
