have a 1992 FZR 1000 and it ticks a bit at idle but stops when i pull in the clutch and it only happens at idle. I think its my clutch basket if it is will it be dangerous to ride it? I have put 800 miles on it since i noticed this and it drives perfect. Should i be worried?

  1. Not to worry.  My Hondas have done that for thousands of miles.  You won't have to ask if you really have clutch problems.

  2. why do you think it is your clutch basket? if your basket is worn out you might notice your cluch jerking a bit when you shift

  3. Nothing to worry about, unless the sound gets very noisy

It's not a complicated job, remove the clutch and inspect it.

You don't really know if that's the problem - just suggestions from Yahoo Answers.

Don't forget - the longer you wait, the greater the chance of parts becoming discontinued.
