Clydal Hi confident about the Try A Trio Novice 750
The only promising entry in the highly moderate line-up of the Grade OR Try A Trio Novice 750 is the three-year-old black dog, Clydal Hi. The three-year-old will be confronted by Cavansheath Kirk, Cherry Rita, Lady Bunty, Farran Puyol, Mottee Diamond. The 750 yards race will be hosted by Harold’s Cross on Tuesday, 11th December, 2012. The prize money set for the race is €255.
The blue trap, Clydal Hi, is backed by 2 to 1 odds, and has been far better than the rest in the line-up lately.
Ace Hi Rumble’s son has not been through any training sessions and was directly sent to contest Grade A4 races. The three-year-old came clean in the first four outings of the career.
He was the evening’s favourite for a 525 yards race on 27th February, 2012. Breaking out of the third trap, he was always handy and leading just near the line ended the trip in 29.35 seconds.
He defeated the runner-up, Gairneybridge, by ¾ of a length.
The three-year-old out of, Clydal Susie, won the Grade A2 Lucky Last @ The Cross 550 on 27th April, 2012 at Harold’s Cross over 550 yards.
Despite getting challenged when racing from the third trap, he set into the leading form when reeling in from the third spot. He landed the race in 30.57 seconds and set Doonanes Dior as the runner-up by keeping him a drift by four lengths.
The last two races of the M. Clyne trained saw him finishing as the runner-up, once when racing in the blue jacket and then again with the white colour of the third trap.
On 23rd November, 2012 he completed the 525 yards trip in 29.36 seconds. Challenged when trying to run in, the blue trap took every chance to stick the head in front, got defeated by Headforthehudson by 1 ½ lengths.
He then maintained the status quo on 30th November, 2012 over 550 yards. Despite the slow break from the third trap, he saved ground on the wide end and finished well in 30.51 seconds. The evening’s favourite lost to Boozed Barack by three lengths.
