1976 worked on a milkrun with jim bett.

1981 met terry griffiths..snooker

1985 met queen

1990 captured an iraqi republican guard

played army football with steven fletchers (hibs) dad.

my sister in law is the neice of the late jimmy johnstone

    • I am on a Singing Kettle video, filmed in BBC Glasgow, when I was 8!

    • I met the Spice Girls when I was on Fully Booked BBC studio in 1996

    • My Mum grew up next to Ally McCoist, who is now good mates with  my cousin's husband

    • My cousin's band played Glastonbury last year

    Had breakfast (pancakes) with Hugh Dallas in Jeonju, South Korea the morning before he refereed Portugal v Poland at WCup (he signed my napkin but i lost it in the pub)

  7. I spent 23 years in the army, demobbing earlier this year.

    I represented Great Britain in the Commonwealth Games, at shooting.

    I met Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill of the Simple Minds, at Easter Road, on a wet Wednesday night about 20 years ago.  All of the band are Celtic fans, let's say the banter was 'interesting'.

    I attended Paul McStay's wedding, he married a girl from my hometown who are family friends.

    I was taught Latin and Mandarin in my youth, my mother was a lecturer until she retired 2 years ago.

    Emma Thompson, the actress, owns property less than a mile from my home and I speak her on a regular basis.

    I stood behind Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones in a massive queue in a store in London, only noticing it was him as he walked away after being served.  I have been a massive fan for yars !  Raging !

    During one particular season a few years back, I actually saw Rangers play away in Europe more than I did at Ibrox !  I have kept my book going since I was 17, that particular year, due to army commitments, I saw a total of 3 games at home.  Value for money, not !

  9. i walked past graham norton in london last year and couldnt help but say ''orite graham ya wee fenian poof '' .............here air force bummer i also went to cleveden, mr valentine was the headteacher at the time.....mr williams maths, mr neil ( hey you boy) was my p,e teacher, and mrs kennedy my english teacher.......ring any bells ?

  10. Had a game of bowling with Maurice Maplas at the GX Superbowl. Met Cobra from Gladiators at a Tay FM roadshow. Starred in a TV advert for Pagazzi Lighting. And I've had a glass of champagne with Linda Barker.

    When I worked as a taxi driver, I had Primal Scream, Stephen Thomson (ex falkirk captain) and Peter Mcdonald (St Johnstone) in my car.

    Stephen Crainey crashed into my car after coming the wrong way up a one way street

    Met Van Bronckhorst and Gattuso in Victoria's one night.

    Is he erra? Well it was about 18 months ago I picked him up. He was living in the new flats on Pollokshaws Road. Really nice guy.

  14. I have met quite a few 'stars' in my life but the two most amazing people I met were Jack Nicholson and Billy Connolly.

    I was in New York in 2000 and went along to a function being given in honour of one of my clients, it turns out Jack and Gregor were at school together and he turned up as a surprise. I was gobsmacked and he was a brilliantly funny man, very down to earth.

    I met Billy at a Celtic game. We were about to have our pre match meal and I invited him to stay, which he did. I can honestly say it was one of the best days of my life. Celtic beat Rangers 2-0 (Lambert and Burley) and there was my all time hero having dinner with 12 of my mates. They thought I had set it up and kept asking how much it cost to hire him for the day. Hahahaha!!!!

    I have made friends in the football world too, I met Tommy Burns at Celtic functions, what a guy!!!

    Jim Baxter was a great pal of my uncles, so I saw quite a bit of him and Duncan Ferguson is still a great mate, I have a holiday snap in my office safe of Big Goose wearing The Hoops, I will never show it but I keep it as insurance. That's all for my fame claim mate.

  15. my uncle was one of the most famous of all scottish or even british football managers(not saying who because I wont be believed)..,my great grandfathers brother was mel gibsons grandfather(true)whos sister was a famous opera singer and the first person on australian radio..I won the A.B.A.title before being banned from amateur boxing for life at 19 (landed a left hook,right uppercut,left hook,combo on opponents manager as they warmed up) told me "I was getting knocked the fukc out".how wrong was he?.. I have met ken buchanan,roberto duran both in newcastle..aaron pryor,marvin hagler,alexis agruello,and loads of footballers and the guy from cash in your attic!..oh and won the player of the tournament (goalie) when I played with ayr unuted boys club and won the gothenburg cup..signed with the full team later but never bothered turning up (now I can say if only) never really looked back though and never played again except at junior level for about 6 months when I got p.ssed and agreed in the pub.lol

    2005 sat next to shaun fitzpatrick and gavin hasting at a ba-ba game.looked very inadequate i must add

    plenty other dubious honours,but they remain inbedded into the minds of the chosen few of 1SG.THANK FECK...... STRUTHY,thought the  guard bit was a wee bit wrong as if i remember right the ground war started on 16th jan.ahhh the good old days.think ill just pull up a sandbag.lol.al jubayl also,but cant remember much of it.kuwait much better......also got pics on the basra highway but the chemist confiscated quite a few unfortunately.a sight never to forget.total carnage of the good kind.
