  1. Let's get the solubility in terms of moles / L.

    3.91 mg Cu / 0.100 L x (1 g / 1000 mg) x (1 mole Cu / 63.6 g Cu) = 6.15 x 10^-4 moles / L = 6.15 x 10^-4 M

    . . . . . .. . . .CuCl2(s)  =>  Cu2+(aq) + 2Cl-(aq)

    Molarity. . .0.000615. . . 0.000615. . 2

    (0.000615)

    So when 0.000615 M CuCl2 dissolves it produces 0.000615 M Cu2+ and TWICE that amount of Cl-, or 0.00123 M.

    Ksp = [Cu2+][Cl-]^2 = (0.000615)(0.00123)^2 = 9.3 x 10^-10
