Question:

Co-ed bachelor/bachelorette party

We both live in Dallas as do most of our friends. We would like to have a really fun joint party instead of doing the whole "last night of freedom" thing. We've been together for almost 9 years so we really do just enjoy being with each other and know we would have more fun that way. We are having a hard time figuring out what to do. Does anyone have any ideas that don't involve strippers? We are wanting to have it on September 11, 2008. That is the Thursday before our wedding. Please let me know of any cool places to go or neat things that are happening then.

  1. If everyone could get that day off of work, you could separate the groups 1st. Guys go golfing, or to a ball game, something. Girls do a spa day etc.  Then later meet up for dinner at you and your fiance's favorite resturaunt. Afterward, go somewhere everyone will have fun. Indian place with belly dancers that drag the patron out to teach them to dance etc...

Or you could just do a big bbq at your house or the beach and just have a gathering there. If the point is to do this together, then find something you both enjoy and take the stress out of it. This is your party, your time to share with your friends. Your friends just want to have fun and be with the two of you!

    Good luck and congrats!

  2. Are you sure you'd have more fun that way?  Strippers sound better. lol.

The point of a bachelor/bachelorette party is to go out (strippers or not) all guys/all girls.  It sounds like you just want to have a pre-wedding celebration party.  If that's all you want to do, why not just go out dancing or karaoke, or a sushi bar or bowling or something?
