  1. I put the mattress on the floor and backed it up into a corner.  I slept on open side.

It doesn't make for the most posh room set up, but you don't have to worry about baby getting hurt.

I LOVED co-sleeping . . . she did it for 3 years, and I wouldn't have done it any other way.  Waking up to a sweet-smelling, silently sleeping, cuddly baby will always be such a wonderful memory.

  2. We have the mattress on the floor and it is pushed up against the wall. He will swap between sleeping between me and hubby, and me and the wall. During naps I would roll up small blankets and nestle them next to him. When he became mobile, we simply taught him to crawl off of the bed gently.

  3. I put pillows around the edges and tucked the ones at the top into the mattress and head board.  My sons bassinet is also on one side so I tuck one into that.  I don't use any pillow for myself though incase I move it in my sleep.  I only put my sheets and blankets about hlf way up the bed and tuck the bottom under teh mattress so I can't pull them up too high.  I had pulled them over him a few times in the beginning and he got really hot and sweaty.  make sure the baby is dressed light and that it is cool in the room and it's probably best if you sleep topless but with pj pants and socks so you don't get cold.  Also make sure you wash your bedding in the same detergent you would use on teh babies clothes so it doesn't irritate their skin. NEVER let anyone else sleep in teh bed with you two, not even your husband.  That up's teh SIDS risk dramatically.  Men don't have the same biological fail safe as women as far as a baby sleeping next to them goes.  I also always sleep on my side with him by my face except when he is feeding.  I keep a pillow between my legs also so I'm not as tempted to roll over.  You can slide your bed up against a wall also but make sure the baby can't slip between the wall and teh matress.  Good luck!!

  4. Well my son isnt completely mobile yet, he's 5 months and can only army crawl..But my mattress is against the wall so I am on the open side, but I usually wake up first anyhow.. I wake at 5 to start getting ready for work, and if its a weekend then I just wake up as he does.. We havent had any problems, I know my dad and stepmom just taught my lil brother how to get off the bed. Belly to mattress and feet on the floor. He never got hurt, im sure there were little falls but nothing major. My son will either nap on my bed with pillows all around and one on the floor JUST IN CASE or he naps in his crib. He really doesnt mind his crib at all, Im the one who likes the cuddles ;)

  5. baby sleeps between me an dh.  here's a great link on cosleeping  http://www.betterforbabies.com/co-sleepi...

  6. I used a bed rail.

  7. I put my arm under and around my son. I set pillows up too on the edge. My hubby is deployed but when he's home we put him in the middle. My son is older now where he doesnt roll off or suffocate on the pillows but I still use my arm

  8. This is how we sleep... My son in the middle and myself on one side and husband on the other and a pillow between my husband and son.

  9. Bed next to the wall and our son in the middle or next to the wall. I usually put a rolled blanket against the wall so he doesn't hit his head.

  10. My bed is against the wall. So I sleep on the open side and my baby sleeps on the side by the wall. I put a pillow beside me and lay her on top of it. that way she won't happen to roll over and have her face buried in my side or something. She is at the same level as me and she gets extra cushion. She really likes soft stuff. I don't always co-sleep, only when she doesn't feel good or she doesn't want to fall asleep right away. I just lay her beside me and she can look and gaze at me while I catch some zzzzzz
