Co-worker crying "poor" with big bank account?

Question

I go to lunch with a co-worker of mine who sometimes says she is too broke and asks me to "loan" her money for lunch. During the past year I have "loan" her over $100.00 for lunch and did not see a penny of it back. So about 3 months ago I stopped giving her money telling her that I only bring $7.00 a day with me for lunch. So she got some other people in the office to buy her lunch. The other day she was looking at her bank account on line and showed me that she has over $10,000 in it! Why would someone cry that they are broke and have a big bank account?

She just uses people.

Her "borrowing" is why she has 10K in the bank, she doesn't spend for lunch on her own.  If someone "borrowed" from me, and didn't pay me back, I'd not lent money to them a second time.

What a moocher.  If you notice her borrowing a lot from certain people, let them in on her new-found fortune.  You don't have to tell them how much, but you can tell them that oh, she has plenty in there for lunch.

Many people do that.  Ten thou is a lot of money to some but not to others.

That's how rich folks get rich, by leeching money off of others.

That's why she has so much money because she spends everyone elses. She's cheap.
