Works in corporate office- 50 employees

Department supervisor consists of herself and two women under her

Have one direct supervisor with regular contact (in separate department)

Other supervisors not regularly working with

One friend in other department

Can she invite just the two under her and spouses, immediate supervisor and spouse, and friend and spouse? Without friends or supervisors departments. These are the people she is closest too.

  1. I'm inviting my boss and just the colleagues that I am close to, do things with outside of work, etc.  If I invited everyone, I would be afraid that they would think I was just trying to get a gift out of them.

  2. the people she is closest too and works closely with are good!

  3. If I were your client, I'd definitely invite her direct supervisors and the two women working under her in the same department, and their spouses, as well as the friend in the other department (if the friend is a real friend whom she actually sees outside of work, and not just a "work friend")

My fiance has a big office, so he is only inviting his immediate supervisor, the company owner, and his friend in the graphic design department (who is also doubling as our photographer!) and all their significant others.  I, on the other hand, work in a tiny, 7-person (including me) office, so I'll be inviting all my co-workers and their spouses, because you can't really invite some people and not others when you work in such a small office.

  4. I agree with only inviting her immediate supervisor and the 2 others under her and the friend. It is difficult to narrow it down. Perhaps someone could arrange a office reception for her and hubby where everyone is invited. A co-worker did that (her department actually) and had it from 11-2 to catch people on thier lunch hours. Punch and cake were served.
