Coach Gary Kubiak-led Houston Texans at top of NFL power rankings second time – NFL News
The Houston Texans have continued their impressive run of the season, staying atop the Associated Press’s Pro32 NFL power rankings for second consecutive week.
Having won four of four games in the American Football Conference (AFC) South division, the Texans are the only team in the league to have made to the top of the AP’s rankings chart twice this season.
Also, they are the only team undefeated so far which approves their credentials as Super Bowl contenders. The team have come into the field with eyes on the Super Bowl title game for the first time in their history, thanks to their superb performance last
season that led them to their first-ever AFC South division title win and playoff qualification.
Coach Gary Kubiak has again supervised the side to start this season right from where they had ended the last, and retain hundred percent record in road and home games.
It is particular to note that the Texans have displayed excellent teamwork that no other team have managed well so far. Their offensive line stars quarterback Matt Schaub, who leads the offence; running back Arian Foster and wide receiver Andre Johnson have
performed remarkably well on their ends.
On the other hand, Texans defence stays the second best in the league and its credit is to hard work of defensive coordinator Wade Phillips. He has helped the side improve their defensive department so excellently that it took only a year to the team to
progress to the top five defences in the league.
Overall, it is an integrated strategy focusing solely to maintain maximum possession of the ball that has worked wondrously well for the Texans.
The pace and momentum generated by the offensive line has surprised many teams on the way to four victories recorded by them, so far. Even the teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers could not stand a chance in front of QB Peyton Manning-led Denver Broncos, but
Texans outclassed them in third game of the season much to the surprise of their opponents.
