Coach K vs Phil???

Coaching in the NBA is not coaching. It is a bunch of paid athletes who all have egos. They need pyscologists not devolpemental coachs like coach K, that why Phil is a great Nba coach. Coach K is and always will be one of the best to ever coach at any level. The Nba is set up to fail for coachs, Its a players league. K likes the challenge of recuiting and educating the players, not controlling brats. He could have any job in the Nba if he wanted it but he is too smart for that. He could be LAL coach right now. They asked him and he said no so they got Phil back. I am a huge LAL fan and a huge Duke fan and i am glad K stayed at Duke, its his home. I think he is a better coach than Phil but they way the NBA is set up Phil would always be more successful than K in the Nba

i think you are underestimating both coaches.. both are excellent coaches that may go down as the best college coach and pro coach of all time.. what would happen if they switched and coach k went to the nba and phil went to the college ranks?.. i think that they each are very successful even if they switch places which is a credit to both coaches.. coach k would succeed in the nba because the players would respect him which doesnt happen most of the time with rookie nba coaches.. phil would do a great job at any college even if he took over a poor program because high school kids would be fighting for a chance to play for a guy who coached mj, kobe, shaq, pippen and won 9 titles..

What do you mean coaching the NBA is not coaching? Coaching talented players is more difficult than coaching those blue devils (many of them cannot play). It takes more skill, strategy, and experience to deals with the cocky NBA players.

I agree. It's amazing for a coach to have success at the college level for as long as Mike Krzyzewski. Mike Krzyzewski had to build his dynasty from nothing. Phil Jackson was handed his championship teams. Nothing against Phil Jackson, but Mike Krzyzewski is a basketball genius.

phil jackson can outcoach and outplay coach krzyzewski. phil is also popular with the laker girls and his boss' daughter.

OVERALL, I would pick Phil Jackson as a better coach than Coach K.
