Yet, the spotlight of Denly’s excellent run throughout the season was his career best 199-run-knock against Derbyshire in a County Championship Division Two match, played at Derby from September
7 to September 10, 2011.
Following his excellent form this season, the batsman is being approached by several outfits but the Kent coach wants Denly to continue his journey with the home side.

Moreover, he lauded the all-rounder for producing such a great show and silencing his critics who were pointing fingers at Denly’s batting technique and temperament before the start of this
summer.
“He's worked hard and he's deserved his success in the last five weeks. We knew it was coming, it was just a case of putting those scores together and getting a bit of luck along the way. .
He's starting to get a rub of the green. It's amazing when you're playing well and scoring runs, how that luck goes with you as well,’ added the 44-year-old coach who has played in 40 first-class matches.
