  1. I found this website which lays out a training approach for employees.  It could be adapted for classroom use.

  2. 'The Training Circle' is an underground method for forcing people to do something - its use is banned under International Law, but it is still employed by some unscrupulous organizations to acheive their ends.

The circle itself is a metal memoryform that can be remotely activated to shrink on the application of an electric current - it is fitted around the neck and contracted so that it cannot be removed by anyone except the chap with the remote key. Then it is simply tightened if the 'pupil' doesn't comply with instructions.

After several incidents in the late 1990s its use was condemned by the Wimbledon Common Society, and after that it...

Oh, I'm sorry, I'm just making this up as I go along - I don't really know what it is!

Hope I entertained you for a minute or so, though...

  3. The learning cycle as it is known in the uk is this:-

    1. Identify the training needs, this is done by a training needs analysis being completed with the learner.

    2. Design a training programme that meets the needs of that learner.

    3. Deliver the training programme, this too  has to meet the needs of the learner, it may have been identified at stage 1 that the learner has some special needs, for example they may need coloured paper to read from, as this can help some dyslexic learners.

    4.  Assess that learning has taken place, this can be done by giving out written questions at the end of the lesson, (summative assessment) or during the lesson (formative assessment).

    5. Evaluate, did your lesson meet the aims and objects of the session, did it teach your learners anything.  From this you may find that you have to start from the begining again.  You may identify that the learner needs more help than originally thought.

    Hope this helps
