I am new to fishing, and would like to know when surface fishing with a bubble float and using bread on a one metre line, can I stop the bait coming round and resting on the float?

  1. that's the only problem with bubble floats, you can try shortening your hook lenght  and if that doesn't work get rid of the float and freeline. all you do is use a bread crust push your hook through and secure it with either a grass stem,a 3cm piece of uncooked spaghetti or plastic boilie stops. just dip the crust in the water for a few seconds prior to casting to add weight and with a gentle lob it should go 20+ yards. 0r add a dog biscuit(i liked to dye mine red in cochineal) via a bait band if you want to cast further.
