Coast Guard Helicopter Pilot?

Question

if i wanted to join the Blue 21 program would the CG train me to become a pilot or is a pilot's license a prerequisite? Also if i were to leave the CG after the minimum 11 years how much would a coast guard pilot make flying helicopters?

We will train you to fly our helos.

Coast Guard pilots are VERY sought after, because when the huge majority of folks are packing it in and going home due to bad conditions, our pilots are putting their gear on and getting ready to go out and fly.

Talk to a local Medevac unit at a local hospital.  Lots of them are USCG pilots.
