I'm flat footed but i have no pain when i run. Will i be disqualified during the MEPS exam? They say they slide a piece of paper under your foot but that wouldnt work for mine i have an arch but its not that big? I heard they accept everyone that are flat footed now, they disqualify you if it hurts when you run or have certain shoe inserts .

  1. As a former veteran, I can personally testify that you won't be disqualified for that. If anything, as long as it doesn't affect your physical ability to do physical training it will be waived by the doctor at MEPS. If I can get waived for a missing muscle, flat feet and a heart murmur, your good.

  2. It will be the Docs call.

If he thinks you are close, you more than likely will get XRays...

Definitely talk to him during the visit though.  Speak with confidence and be tactful.  You need to make him realize how badly you want it!

Have you ever had a civilian doctor diagnose you with Flat Feet?
