Trying to plan a 2 week trip starting from Barcelona, going to Madrid, then Seville, and then back around the coast of Spain. What's the best way to do this by public transport?

this is what I would do -

from Barcelona to Madrid, take a overnight train.

from Madrid to Seville - train or bus ( your choice depend on trade off b/w money and time )

from Seville to Marbella - bus

from Malaga to Valencia - overnight train

You can take a bus or train. For go madrid to sevilla, the best way is take a train ( AVE ). Sevilla to costa del sol take a bus and barcelona to madrid take a plane ( you have very cheap rates ).
